Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  • Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 8 minutes.
  • Flip each piece using tongs.
  • Cook for another 4–6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • In a saucepan, combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  • Heat over medium until bubbling.
  • Add cornstarch slurry and stir until sauce thickens.
  • Toss cooked chicken lightly in the sauce just before serving.

Notes

Air fryer models vary, so check the chicken at the 10-minute mark to avoid overcooking. Avoid overcrowding to maintain crispiness, cook in batches if needed. For best results, add sauce just before serving to prevent sogginess. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 4–5 minutes. You can swap chicken breast for thighs for extra juiciness or use a sugar substitute for a lighter version.
