Air fryer chicken cordon bleu was my way of recreating that classic crispy, cheesy chicken without the mess of frying. My first attempt fell apart and the cheese leaked everywhere, which was frustrating. After testing this three ways, I discovered that rolling the chicken tightly and chilling it briefly made all the difference. Then I cracked the code with the right coating and temperature, and now it comes out golden, sealed, and perfectly juicy every time.

Notes
Air fryer models vary, so check at the 14-minute mark to prevent overcooking. Avoid overcrowding—cook in batches if needed. Chilling the rolled chicken helps keep the filling intact. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 5–6 minutes. You can swap Swiss cheese for mozzarella or use turkey instead of ham for a lighter option.
